Happy Thanksgiving and welcome to The Laidback Gourmet, the only blog on the internet that’s more fun than ten thousand Macy Thanksgiving Day Parades. Today is the day of the year where we all stop for a moment and think about everything that we are thankful for in our lives. Want to know what I’m thankful for? Cranberry Soda.
Oh, and life, liberty, friends, family, health, Earthbound, my loyal readers, yada yada yada, but none of those makes a good punchline. Anyway, today on this special Thanksgiving episode we’ll be looking at Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash Soda. It’s advertised as “Lemon-Lime Soda with Cranberry flavor” (and other natural flavors). It’s also naturally sweetened so we can drink this knowing no pacts with the devils were made in the sweetening of this beverage. I for one am comforted in that knowledge.
Now which of my many cups should I use to drink this out of? I need something that really represents the holiday of Thanksgiving. Ah ha! Perfect!
What? You don’t see what Spiderman has to do with Thankgiving?
See? Fits perfectly. Let’s pour it out and give this a try.
Looks kind of like the dye you color eggs in at Easter. However, that’s a different holiday for a different time because here on the Laidback Gourmet, the Turkey comes before the Egg. I’ll tell you this, it actually smells pretty good, I’m looking forward to this.
Wow! This is better than I expected it to be. I was worried how cranberry and lemon lime would mix but it actually works mostly because the cranberry isn’t over powering. It’s actually pretty refreshing, I think this would go well as a Thanksgiving Dinner drink. 8/10. You should give this one a shot while it’s still available.
Well, that ends another edition of the Laidback Gourmet, thank you as always for reading. If you have any suggestions, thoughts, comments, or to simply lavish thy praise upon me email me at SuperfriendEd@Gmail.com. Until next time, this is Ed Difolco, your Laidback Gourmet wishing everyone a very happy, healthy Thanksgiving, and reminding everyone that once Santa Clause crosses the finish line at the Macy’s Parade it’s officially Christmas season. So you know what that means, right? Be prepared to hear that horrible, “Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart” song about a dozen times a day. Ugh.
