Another year, another Academy Awards telecast has come and gone. There were great moments, there were tedious moments, but you can’t deny the spectacle that is the Oscars. I’ll give my brief thoughts on the Oscars and its newly enshrined winners, but before that (and before we turned our focus to 2015 in film), let’s officially wrap up 2014 with my personal TOP 10 FILMS of 2014! You may have heard this list on the latest episode of FORCED PERSPECTIVE, but since the recording of that episode (and since my attendance at the 2015 AMC Best Picture Showcase last weekend), I’ve shifted a few films around. It’s still the same 10 films, but 7 of them now have different slots from when I first announced them on the show. Which films are they? Is there a NEW #1 film of 2014? Let’s find out! More →
At long last, the 86th Academy Awards – celebrating the year 2013 in film – have finally arrived. In just a matter of moments, the history books will be updated to include the names of this year’s newly-crowned Oscar winners, who will be enshrined in a very exclusive club, forever.
Ahead of this year’s ceremony, I, SportsGuy515, one-half of Team FORCED PERSPECTIVE, will give my picks for the 10 Best Films of 2013, as well as my predictions for who will win each of the main awards, as well as who SHOULD win, having been able to watch all the nominated films over the past 24-hours at the AMC Best Picture Marathon in New York City.
